Just like the Taycan Turbo GT, Four Rings is putting the finishing touches on a new flagship. It is called RS E-Tron GT Performance, reminiscent of gasoline models such as the RS6 and RS7 Performance versions.<br/><br/>Just as the current RS E-Tron GT won't be as intense as the Taycan Turbo S, it won't be as harsh as the Zuffenhausen model. However, there will be a power increase over the 637 hp and 612 lb-ft offered by the current range-topping. Audi is being coy about details (it's a teaser, after all) but is sharing images of a camouflaged car with ceramic brakes hiding behind aero wheels.<br/><br/>The revamped front and rear engines are unlikely to match the Taycan Turbo S's 938 horsepower, let alone the fierce Turbo GT's whopping 1,019 horsepower. We know that Audi engineers made changes not only to the powertrain but also to the battery pack for longer range. For reference, the new Taycan with Performance Battery Plus has a usable energy content of 98.6 kWh, while the base model has a net battery pack of 83.6 kWh.<br/><br/>Charging speed has also increased; This is no surprise considering the latest Taycan can now get 320 kW of power instead of 270 kW. Elsewhere, Audi has developed a new suspension system consisting of four individually active double-valve shock absorbers. This more responsive hardware will be adapted from the new Porsche Panamera. On the Audi, the suspension has been tuned for greater comfort compared to the sharper Taycan.<br/><br/>Audi plans to introduce the 2025 E-Tron GT later this year.
