He has worked as CEO of Punjab Agriculture Research Board (PARB) during 2007-13 and has provided vision and strategic direction to agricultural research system in the Punjab.<br/>He has also worked as Senior Economist in the World Vegetable Center in Taiwan, Visiting Scientists in International Rice Research Institute in Manila, Research Fellow in International Food Policy Research institute and Staff Economist in USAID Islamabad. His research on mungbean won the presidential award from the Government of Taiwan. He has travelled 42 countries in relation to his research and development work and participated over 100 high-level meetings.
