The blind spot monitoring system has the ability to warn drivers of a cyclist to their right when making a right turn, and the 360-degree camera system now scans the area immediately in front of the van and warns of a pedestrian or cyclist.<br/><br/>The Sprinter relies solely on diesel power for two reasons (except for the eSprinter EV, reviewed separately). The base engine is a 2.0-liter turbodiesel rated at 168 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. The optional high-output engine is rated at 208 hp and 332 pound-feet. Both feed a nine-speed automatic transmission; all-wheel drive is available, but only with the high-output engine.
