Since their launch, Mercedes‑Benz has continuously developed the EQS and its siblings. Independent of model updates and faster than ever before, innovations have been incorporated into the series for the EQS, EQE, EQS SUV and EQE SUV. The company has responded to market and customer feedback more quickly than ever before with numerous product upgrades. For the current change year 2024, the EQS is now receiving an extremely extensive update package. The electric flagship comes with up to 82 kilometres more range, a new radiator cover with chrome applications and an upright Mercedes star on the front hood as well as even more comfort in the rear.
The EQS was already one of the electric cars with the longest range. In the future, customers will be able to cover even more kilometres without stopping to charge. Thanks to an increased battery capacity from 108.4 to 118 kWh, the maximum range of the EQS 450 4MATIC, for example, increases from 717 to 799 kilometres. This means an increase in range of more than 11 percent. With a range of 683‑822 kilometres, the EQS 450+even exceeds the 800-kilometre mark.

Meet one of Britain’s youngest business owners – who customers often mistake for staff rather than the boss.

Chloe Frost, 18, opened The Baking Suite - her very own café - in October 2023.

She initially considered starting an apprenticeship after finishing her A levels in June, but instead decided to follow her ‘dream’ – which had always been baking.

Now, Chloe has her own place in Bromham, Beds., and neither she, nor her customers, can quite believe it.

She said: “I’ve just always loved baking. After sixth form, I started making and selling celebration cakes on Instagram.

“So then I just thought, why not do this properly? Even though that still feels crazy.

“People hardly ever think it’s me that runs the place.

“Even today, with one of our regulars, he said, ‘Where’s the boss then?’ And I said, ‘I am the boss.’

“People are always surprised but everyone is supportive when they realise.”

Chloe took over the site at the end of August after a previous café closed – and then spent just over a month re-decorating, re-fitting the kitchen, and making the place feel like hers.

She said: “I thought it was a good opportunity as there was already a small customer base. But I wanted to turn it into my own place too.”

The Baking Suite offers breakfast, lunch and an array of tasty sweet treats – all of which Chloe bakes from scratch by herself.

So far, her banana bread and rocky road have been consistent crowd pleasers – but she says classics like brownies, scones, and millionaire shortbread are always popular too.

Chloe currently has two staff members – chef Kimberley White, who has 18 years' experience, and barista Rosie Harrington, her brother Jonathan’s fiancée – but one day Chloe hopes to have a bigger team.

“I would love to open more premises at some point,” she said. “But it’s all about taking things one step at a time.”

Chloe says business has been going well so far – with the café already boasting plenty of regulars.

“We have a lot of customers who we see nearly every day,” she said. “Builders, dog-walkers, elderly people, those working from home.

“Of course, sometimes there’s a quiet day or two – but that’s to be expected in hospitality.”

Chloe says other local businesses have supported her too, with nearby Wooden Hill Coffee Company, whose coffee the café serves, offering all staff members free barista training.

She currently isn’t taking in a salary, but is making enough for rent, outgoings, staff salaries, and to pay back her dad – who financed the initial opening.

Chloe said: “I’m very lucky to have such a supportive family. My grandparents even keep a bunch of ingredients in their freezer for me.”

Chloe said she would encourage other young people to follow their dreams like she did – but only if they’re willing to put in the effort.

“I definitely would say to other young people who want their own business that they should follow their dreams and their passions,” she said.

The FTC voted to ban noncompete agreements that bar employees from taking jobs with competitors for a set period after leaving a company. Noncompete clauses are commonly used for salespeople and other employees who interact with customers or clients, to prevent them from taking relationships to a new employer. Critics argue noncompetes unfairly limit worker mobility and career opportunities. Supporters say they protect trade secrets and business investments. The new rule faces legal challenges but could significantly impact millions of American workers if implemented.

Fed-up locals living next to a historic Shakespeare property say their lives have been made “hell” by drug dealers and anti-social yobs.

Residents on South Green Drive in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warks., say they are too scared to leave their homes after dark.

The leafy street - where house prices average £406,000 - is close to Anne Hathaway's Cottage, the wife of William Shakespeare.

Residents living on the road were too scared to be named fearing reprisals, but say their lives have become “miserable”.

One woman, who has lived on the road for 50 years, said: “It’s quite frightening when you see cars full of big men sitting in the street.

“We have had drug dealers move in next door and you get these big burly blokes coming in and out at all times of the day and night.

“You’ve got to pretend that you don’t see it. You see the younger dealers buzzing around the area too.

“They tend to go in next to the children's play area so they are not overlooked by people's homes.

“You also get kids aged 14 and 15 coming up in the holidays and throwing stones at people’s windows.

“Talking to the police, it’s obvious they can’t cope. It’s the County Lines drug gangs who are operating here.

“We live in one of the most beautiful towns in the country, yards away from Anne Hathaway’s famous cottage, but our lives are miserable.”

Another young mum, who moved to the street six years ago, said: “When I first moved here it was older, retired people.

“It was beautiful and people would be out making their gardens look nice.

“Then a housing association took over a few properties and young people moved in and then came the drugs.

“We had people move in next door to me who were obviously dealing drugs.

“I’d lose count of how many times I saw the police round there.

“The area is falling apart and people who used to stop for a chat now lock themselves in their homes. It’s sad really but the criminals have won.”

Other residents say the estate often organised community barbecues and street sales but that had all come to an end.

One said: “People just aren’t interested any more.

“I’ve tried to organise barbecues and this and that people just keep themselves to themselves now.

“I feel for one couple near me, they have two young children and they have to walk past a known drug den to take their kids to school.

“I can pick a druggie out really well. You just get used to it, it’s normal now.

“I’ve had plain clothed police officers sat in front of my drive, just watching them.

“I've seen armed police come and raid homes. It’s a weekly occurrence.

“These men just park outside across people’s driveways, they do their drug deals and go. They don’t care who they upset. They’re scary men.

“You can tell they’re dodgy, something isn’t right. It’s all since the buildings were taken over and given to younger people.

\

Amy Winehouse fans are flocking to visit the star's favourite haunts following the release of a new biopic - despite mixed reviews.

The late singer is heavily associated with the London borough of Camden, which also served as a backdrop to many scenes in the recently released 'Back to Black'.

The film has come in for criticism, with some claiming it goes too easy on Winehouse's dad Mitch and her ex-husband, Blake Fielder-Civil.

Fans revealed on Wednesday they had travelled from all over to visit Camden - with one couple having journeyed more than 700 miles from Barcelona.

Scarlet Elias, 43, came from the Spanish city with her partner Albert to see a statue of the singer - but says she refuses to watch the film.

She said: “We are huge fans. I am always looking for places with Amy Winehouse.

“I haven’t seen it because of the way it shows her father. I don’t think he treated her right. The film shouldn’t have been made in this way. It is too focused on her relationship with Blake.

“She was a good singer; it shouldn’t be about all the drugs she did.”

The bronze statue, created by Scott Eaton, was unveiled in Stables Market in 2014, three years after the singer's death.

Ayoub Achkah, 24, works serving beer next to the statue and says Winehouse brings in lots of customers.

He said: “Everyone everyday poses with that statue. People are always asking us where the statue is even though it is right in front of them.

“It brings a lot of people here for sure. They come here for the statue and end up having a beer.

“Amy Winehouse is Camden. She brought it to where it is now. It is a small statue but it is the symbol of Camden.”

Similar beliefs were held by fans who had flocked to the street art mural of Winehouse, painted by artist JXC on the back of The Hawley Arms pub.

Two students from Brighton University were visiting the mural mere moments after watching the movie on an Amy Winehouse themed tour of Camden.

The pair had conflicting opinions on the films more controversial scenes, but were in agreement that lead actress Marisa Abela had done a great job.

Lewis McClean, 20, said: “We are big fans. We have just seen the movie. We feel very conflicted about it.

“The lady who played Amy was very good, she did her justice. That is something I was worried about going in. I really liked the movie.

“She knew that she had to go through a struggle to make good music and I am glad they portrayed that. To make a good film you have to put in the juicy parts.”

Maddy Gower, 21, added: “I feel very conflicted about the father stuff. In the film they made him look like a hero.

“[And] there was a part where she says, ‘I just want to be known for what I do’ but they just showed the drugs.

“Amy is so unique, and I think the actress did a very good job.\

Let me start by expressing my deep frustration with the customer service I received from RSS.App. I was excited to use their service, which sets up widgets for websites to enhance content accessibility. After trying the trial version and finding it lacking the features I needed for my website, I decided to purchase the $19.99 plan to explore further.

However, my excitement quickly turned to disappointment when I encountered issues with integrating the widget into my WordPress-hosted website. Despite adjusting dimensions and attempting various fixes, the widget remained off-centered. I assumed I was doing something wrong until I reached out to customer support for assistance.
