MFDI 16mm Experimental Film Project: The theme is based partly on the 'ectoplasm' in movie Ghostbusters and partly on conspiracy theory of ghostly spirits composed of ectoplasm, coming out of human orifices in their lonely and trance states.The idea behind the piece is hollywood obsession with the paranormal and spectatorship. Ecto- meaning 'outside' + Plasma - 'something molded'. Cinema puts a man in a surreal trance state and in between the image and the viewer, meaning is formed.

I wanted to focus primarily on creating an atmospheric digital painting that can convey some sort of feeling and hint that there is in fact a story hidden in this image just based off of the details placed in this particular scene.
