_ptarmigan-pass.webp "August 2, 2014- Skied Ptarmigan Pass in Rocky Mountain National Park. We started from Bear Lake TH andhiked over Flattop. We dropped in at the Pass and were able to ski about 1,000' vert on three different snowfields, ending at a tarn on the bench above Lake Helene. A short bushwhack from the tarn down to the lake and we were back on the Odessa Lake trail, headed back to the TH. Total distance was around 10 miles, with 3,000' vertical gain and about 1,000' ski descent.")
