Multi-platinum singer Curtis Stigers was thrilled last Saturday when he was gifted a Titanic Guitar.<br/><br/>Iain Wilson of IBC-Music presented the award-winning American singer/songwriter with the Belfast made instrument just before his sell-out Ulster Hall concert.<br/><br/>The Dundonald-based musical instrument manufacturer recently launched its first acoustic guitar brand shortly after the success of winning the prestigious King’s Award at Buckingham Palace.<br/><br/>Titanic Guitars is a unique line that pays homage to the tradition of Irish music and guitar building.<br/><br/>Iain Wilson, founder and managing director of IBC-Music said: “It was an honour to be able to present a Titanic Guitar, which is made in Belfast, to Curtis<br/><br/>Stigers and I hope that he enjoys playing it and hopefully performing on stage with it for many years to come.”<br/><br/>Made from rose wood back and sides and European spruce top, this guitar is also aesthetically beautiful with ornate Celtic inlay.<br/><br/>Stigers, whose hits include ‘You’re All That Matters to Me’, ‘I Wonder Why’ and (What’s So Funny ‘Bout) Peace Love and Understanding, which Stigers recorded for the soundtrack album to the Whitney Houston movie ‘The Bodyguard’, was extremely impressed with his new Titanic Guitar.<br/><br/>He explained: “It’s gorgeous, look at that thing!”

Rick Woodbury from Spokane, Washington USA, is the president, founder and sole employee of ‘Commuter Cars.’ The carmaker’s flagship model is the 2005 super slim two-seater Tango T600, a high-performance electric car that preceded Tesla. Rick told us: “I started this company 21 years ago – it was based on an idea that I came up with in 1982.” He was inspired by the shocking traffic congestion he had to face on a daily basis. “I used to drive a Porsche from Beverly Hills to Hermosa Beach every day and the traffic was horrendous,” explained Rick. What really made Rick think about a solution was the fact that in most of the cars he would see in his commute were occupied by lone drivers. “I noticed that everybody around me was a single occupant in a car, taking up the whole lane,” Rick said.
