(What to eat on Papmochani Ekadashi) According to Padma, Skanda and Vishnu Dharmottara Purana, food should not be eaten during this Ekadashi fast. In this fast, the rules for fasting have been explained, in which only fruits can be eaten. Apart from this, one should avoid eating things with smell on the day of Papmochani Ekadashi, because it increases the impurity of body and mind, hence garlic and onion should not be eaten on this day.
