Description: Iceland's Reykjanes Peninsula experienced its fourth volcanic eruption in three months, showing signs of decreasing activity. The recent eruption created a 3-kilometer-long fissure and ejected orange lava jets into the sky near Grindavik. Lava flows were headed south at around 1 km per hour on Sunday and could reach the ocean. Defensive barriers were constructed to prevent lava from reaching the main road and inundating the town.Hundreds were evacuated from the nearby Blue Lagoon spa when the eruption began.
