It’s all down to this line, a mere stroke on paper. And yet it marks a a new beginning. The coupé-like roofline of the Macan and the striking rear—with its shape so typical of Porsche—evoke the tight, unmistakable flyline of the 911. But this time, it’s not just a reminder of the Porsche icon. Rather, the shape, including the rear spoiler, is a groundbreaking innovation in the all-electric SUV segment. “The active aerodynamic elements all contribute significantly to the range,” says aerodynamics specialist Thomas Wiegand. “We have a rear spoiler that raises automatically, active cooling flaps at the front air intakes, and flexible covers on the underbody.” Located in the same building as the Style Porsche design department, the Weissach wind tunnel gives form and shape to the streamlining of the newly developed Macan. It’s the first Porsche based on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) created in collaboration with Audi. This platform not only benefits from development synergies, but is also highly flexible, enabling Porsche to implement its own technical and brand-specific objectives. Full electrification of the popular model line is an important milestone on the path to ensuring that more than 80 percent of the new cars are fully electrified in 2030—depending on the demand of customers and the development of electromobility in the respective regions of the world.

Proud owner, Kevin King, recently fired up the big engine and managed to jump over a fire truck and TWO police cars in his latest trick. Kevin has become one of the most well-known independent drivers in the Monster Truck Industry. Drawing a big crowd at one of his events in Waycross, Georgia, Kevin wanted to pay tribute to their local services – and thankfully, no one was left disappointed. Kevin told R.Rides: “This truck, it’s a beast. It’s a race vehicle. So it’s really not a matter of if it breaks – it’s just when and how bad. With the stunt, we wanted to show our support for those guys, to salute our first responders. It landed real good and I was happy with it.” ‘Fluffy’ is powered by an impressive Chevy 565 engine. And Kevin is more than used to handling this sort of vehicle – known for his work with ‘Fluffy’ and another truck called ‘Strait Jacket’. “I’ve been doing this for so long now,” he said. “When we get into the truck, when we put that helmet on, there’s really no thought process. If you’re thinking about it all, you’re going to screw up. He’s never tried to jump out - he's gotten so used to riding now he rides partially with his front paws on my back rest to see over my shoulder. <br/><br/>“He’s a good rider, he knows how to shift his weight and he’s pretty amazing.” <br/><br/>Joe, wife Penny, 60, and their two daughters adopted Oreo from the local humane society after Joe provided volunteer welding services.<br/><br/>Abbey, 18 and sister Erin, 21, chose the pup – who they believe is a black Lab and weiner dog mix – and Joe says he had his doubts initially. <br/><br/>But Oreo quickly won him round and now the pair are inseparable.<br/><br/>Battery technician Joe bought his Harley Road King brand new in 2003 for £20k and says he’s owned bikes since he was 12. <br/><br/>Joe and Oreo ride from spring to autumn – with Joe saying they’re on the bike “full time”. <br/><br/>“Every time I take him out, I’m surprised it hasn’t caused a car crash, people are so distracted,” said Joe. <br/><br/>“He just wants to do anything I'm doing. The all-new model generates the function of conventional differential locks virtually using intelligent torque vectoring. G-ROAR brings a unique sound experience to the all-new electric G-Class.
