the story revolves around a young girl named Watin, who notices changes in her home with the advent of the month of Ramadan. Watin asks her mother about this holy month, and her mother explains to her the meaning and importance of fasting. Watin tries to fast, but she feels hungry and thirsty, so her mother suggests other ways to participate in Ramadan. Watin joins her family in preparing breakfast, reading the Holy Quran, and praying in the mosque, and she begins to understand the meaning of Ramadan better. With the arrival of Eid al-Fitr, Watin feels very happy and celebrates with her family and friends.
