I spat it out when nobody was looking,' he told Metro Sport. <br/><br/>The strange interlude did not help his quest to reach the semi-final of the world championship as he crashed out 13-8 against Gilbert, who will face either Kyren Wilson or John Higgins in the semi-finals.<br/><br/>It is not the first time in this tournament that Maguire has made the headlines for his behavior at the baize.<br/><br/>Earlier on Wednesday, the Scotsman punched the table after playing a poor positional shot against Gilbert.<br/><br/>As he moved around the table looking to work out his next shot, Maguire punched the baize in frustration before walking back to his chair.<br/><br/>'He can't disguise his annoyance, his anger,' said Eurosport commentator Phil Yates.<br/><br/>'Why does he do it?
