I figure it would suck to be a mermaid in a lake- if you're not a fan of where you are, there's not much you can do about it. That's true for people too sometimes, and I wondered what a friendship would be like between two people doing the best they can with what they have. Inspired in part by the fisherman in Craig Thomspon's awesome graphic novel Habibi. Built in Maya with a little Zbrush and rendered in Vray.
