Ah Long Pte Ltd is a 2008 action comedy film directed by Singaporean film director Jack Neo Chee Keong (梁志強), starring Fann Woon Fong (范文芳) and Mark Lee Kok Huang (李國煌). Co-produced by Mediacorp Raintree Pictures, Scorpio East Pictures and Double Vision (Malaysia), the film was mostly shot in Malaysia, in the city of Kuala Lumpur, with a budget of S$1.2 million. This film is also the seventh collaboration between Mediacorp Raintree Pictures and Jack Neo. Its languages consist of Mandarin (in a heavily Johor-accented version as spoken by Mark), Hokkien and Cantonese.<br/><br/>Chen Jun (Richard Low) is the leader of Shao He Triad. The story opens with him deciding to “retire” from the triad business. Prior to his retirement, he elects Wang Li Hua (Fann Wong), a young but tough girl, as his successor.<br/><br/>Li Hua believes that changes need to be made to the current money lending system . Although Li Hua prioritizes the triad's success, she is very much against the idea of using violent means to collect debts. Therefore, with the help of some professional consultants, Li Hua and several of her subordinates (KK Wong and Daniel Tan) start adopting a series of creative tactics to attract money lenders and practice hilarious methods to pressure the money-lenders to repay in a non-violent way. However, Li Hua's plan of “restructuring” her triad meets with obstacles and opposition from the majority of the conservative elders in both her own triad and rival triad.<br/><br/>At the brighter end of the world, Mr. Fang (Mark) is a kind-hearted dance instructor who is slightly sissy in character. Fate has it that Mr. Fang runs into Li Hua on numerous occasions by chance. Since Li Hua's mother has been pressuring her to get married, Li Hua decides to force Mr. Fang to marry her. Surprisingly, Mr. Fang agrees to it, wanting to prove his masculinity. Though finding it hard to accept the fact that Li Hua is a triad head, Mr. Fang approves of her effort to minimize the use of violence. Subsequently, he offers to help Li Hua out by introducing creative ways to reduce violent methods of debt collection.

The lead actress is young and the director should have help her with her performance. Her fighting skill should have been better, they look fake. The obsession’s with the senior was a turn off. The obsess female vice president was a turn off. they both were made to be strong and independent women but the characters action and charisma turn us off. When I watch the 12 episode and the chemistry between the leads began the drama started to be much better. I really liked the 2nd couple. They were cute how they met and started a relationship. I was happy to see the senior character step away from the leading female character so she could start understanding of the lead male character. From episode 12 on the chemistry between the leads become stronger, and more likeable the couple became. Then the drama became to unravel and all the other characters had much better chemistry with each other. This story is a typical C-drama story were the girl hates the boy at first and then she likes him later. The writer throws in some characters that sometimes weakens the story. I have to say that tis drama is not so bad. After seeing over 700 drama I have seen worse. The male actors Liu Te does keep the story alive, and also many off the experience actors in this drama. They give their character credibility. The female lead is young and by the end her acting is better. The ending was cute.")
