Description: This is a classical Bharatanatyam performance of a Thillana in Ragam Dhanasri. A Thillana is a pure dance item in which abstract dance sequences and variations are performed over a repeated melody line with rhythmic syllables. The opening sloka depicts Krishna in Vrindavan, dancing with Radha and the gopis. The interspersed narrative lines throughout the Thillana describe the ringing of ankle bells worn by dancing girls.
