Walt Nauta, Trump's co-defendant and valet, asked the judge to dismiss the charges against him, claiming that special counsel Jack Smith's office had vindictively and selectively charged him. Woodward claimed that Bratt had tried to convince Nauta to cooperate with prosecutors against Trump by threatening to affect Woodward's possible nomination for a judgeship. Judge Cannon has indefinitely delayed his trial, which is unlikely to occur before the election.
