But they differed, and some of them believed and some of them disbelieved. Legend has it that the remarkable stone dwellings at Medain Salih bear testament to the architectural prowess of the ancient Thamudic people.<br/><br/>Both the Aad and Thamud civilizations were situated in the northwestern region of modern-day Saudi Arabia, near the border of Jordan. Preceding their downfall, Allah dispatched two prophets to these nations: Prophet Hud (AS) to the Aad, and Prophet Salih (AS) to the Thamud, in efforts to guide them toward righteousness.")
