Pinoy PWDs join Paris Olympics<br/><br/>Daisy Jane Omega and Brylle Samgel Arombo banner the flag for People With Disabilities (PWDs) as they are two of the nine Filipinos selected from 112 applicants to be volunteers at the Paris Olympics slated from July 26 to Aug. 11, 2024. As volunteers, Omega and Arombo will be committee assistants and sports facilitators in different sporting associations or institutions for their civic service missions. Omega and Arombo both wear prosthetic right knees. West Virginia is a state whose population of 1.8 million is on the decline, but president and CEO Skip Hageboeck sees that as an asset instead of a drawback. Major banks don’t reinvest much in West Virginia and surrounding towns in Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky to compete for customers, and City National has steadily increased its market share.
