Ruby, who turned two in December, first got involved in the sport when she saw Martin paddleboarding and decided to jump aboard and give it a go herself.<br/><br/>The spaniel has been paddleboarding on rivers in York, lakes in Cumbria and even the sea in Scarborough.<br/><br/>Martin, aged 46, says dogs are the perfect companions for paddlesport, adding: “They don’t complain about the rain, argue about where to go or mutter if you do it wrong. The first day I made a rainwater storage tank and a bath, followed by very heavy rain in the afternoon after collecting firewood, until the evening I cooked and relaxed.<br/> The second day I renovated the shelter starting from the top window and made a bamboo wall on the bottom floor, a window that could also be used as a table and chairs for relaxing.
