The Shop Around the Corner is a 1940 American romantic comedy film produced and directed by Ernst Lubitsch and starring Margaret Sullavan, James Stewart and Frank Morgan. The screenplay was written by Samson Raphaelson based on the 1937 Hungarian play Parfumerie by Miklós László. Eschewing regional politics in the years leading up to World War II, the film is about two employees at a leathergoods shop in Budapest who can barely stand each other, not realizing they are falling in love as anonymous correspondents through their letters.

Webby Awards honor Keke Palmer, Shannon Sharpe, Kara Swisher and Julia Louis-Dreyfus with Special Achievement Awards. Palmer receives the Webby Special Achievement Award for her work in both acting and activism. Louis-Dreyfus receives the Webby Podcast of the Year Award for her show Wiser Than Me. Swisher earns the Webby Lifetime Achievement Award for her long-standing journalism career, and Sharpe will be honored by the NAACP and IADAS as the Webby Advocate of the Year. This is from an old recording of the series, which hasn't been repeated since it's broadcast in March 1979, so apologies in advance for any picture quality issues there may be. The theme music is by Ron Grainer, who did numerous TV themes in his time, notably Doctor Who and Tales of the Unexpected. The period settings are wonderful, while Hywel Bennett's performance as Dr Bickleigh has so many different nuances to it, ranging from sympathetic, creepy and in some of his voice over moments very funny. It's such a shame this series has never been repeated, as it deserves a TV showing.")
