Sinton was transported to the Ulster Hospital in Belfast but the thirty-four-year-old rider was declared dead on arrival.<br/><br/>The meeting was abandoned after the accident.<br/><br/>Eddie Sinton started racing in 1989, he spent the early seasons riding a Yamaha TZ350 and a Honda CBR600; results began to come in 1993, when he was offered to ride the 600 Yamaha formerly owned by Leslie Caster.<br/><br/>With this machine Sinton obtained a string of top ten finishes, the most memorable being a fourth and fifth at Bishops court a sixth at the Temple and a fourth in the Newcomers race at the Manx Grand Prix.<br/><br/>In 1995 Sinton continued to achieve good results, he was a regular on the top five positions, but the season ended tragically with the death of his close friend Ian King at the Temple. An affected Eddie Sinton crashed in the last race of the season at the Sunflower, braking his pelvis. The shocking sequence of occurrences was enough to make him retire from competitions.<br/><br/>Sinton spent the following two years without racing, but in 1997 he decided to return with a new Honda 600 cm3. However the season was to be short-lived, as he crashed at Dundalk in June, breaking his collarbone.<br/><br/>The following year he was on his bike again to obtain in tewo years a remarkable sequence of good finishes which resulted in Eddie being offered a machine of the Moira Club for the 2000 season.<br/><br/>With a competitive bike Eddie obtained a third place at his home circuit of Tandragee and another third place at Skerries. Eddie Sinton went to the last race of the season at Carrowdore having almost secured the Moria bike for 2001, unfortunately he was killed during the competition.<br/><br/>R.I.P")

_5-spectators-fatal-crash-esztergom-rallye-2024.webp "Five spectators were killed and at least seven injured, one seriously, during the 11th edition of the Esztergom Nyerges Rally, the opening event of the season, held on Sunday afternoon, 24 March 2024, in north-western Hungary.<br/><br/>During the fifth special stage of the event, between the towns of Lábatlan and Bajot, a white Škoda Fabia Rally2 evo bearing the race number #4, driven by János Tóth-Viktor Bán, veered off the road while traveling at speeds exceeding 100 km/h (62 mi/h) and crashed into a group of spectators. Four of them, three men and one woman lost their lives on the spot, a young boy was among the casualties.<br/><br/>Almost thirty persons were involved in the accident. Two people, including a young girl sustained serious injuries, while six others were transported to a hospital with lighter injuries. Sadly, the young girl succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday morning, 26 March 2024.<br/><br/>According to eyewitnesses report, neither the driver of the rally car nor the spectators had a chance to avoid the collision. Coming from Lábatlan in Komárom-Esztergom county, along a slippery road where other competing cars had already skidded off without consequences, János Tóth vainly tried to counter-steer, the out of control car slid and slammed into a gate entrance after hitting the spectators.<br/><br/>The name of the five victims were not released.<br/><br/>Owing to the tragedy, the rally was immediately stopped. According to the Hungarian National Motorsport Association (MNASZ), dozens of spectators, including the deceased people, were standing in a prohibited area. They were warned several times by marshals and policemen.<br/><br/>R.I.P<br/><br/>(This is probably a goodbye!
