In honor of the 50th anniversary of the death of Thomas Merton, the Monks of Drepung Gomang Monastery created a beautiful world peace mandala in Bellarmine's Merton Center over the course of four days. Then they performed the dissolution ceremony in Joe Creason Park, symbolically destroying their masterpiece and sending it into the creek, thus into the world.
