Saundersfoot Sailing Club had the honour of hosting the 2024 Saundersfoot New Year’s Day Swim presentation - recognising those that make it the largest Festive 'dash and splash' event in the UK. <br/>NYDS Chairman, Chris Williams welcomed and thanked everyone for attending, along with the hardworking 'volunteer' committee members, as without their commitment and dedication it wouldn’t be possible to hold such a large scale event. <br/>Also thanked, were the army of volunteers who assist year on year; the marshals that are operating; the water safety team who brave the elements; the emergency services, in particular Tenby Fire Station who have given up their time for over 20 years; the bucket collectors who help raise as much money as possible; the 2,500 swimmers who entered the water (and raised personal sponsorship); and finally, the spectators, who help to make it such an enjoyable spectacle.<br/>Much praise was also given to the many organisations and businesses who assist: The RNLI, Tenby Surf Link, Pembrokeshire Paddlers, St Johns Ambulance, Saundersfoot Sailing Club, Police, The Odley Family (who keep the volunteer army and spectators refreshed), Pembrokeshire County Council and our event partners Saundersfoot Harbour, Hean Castle Estate, Saundersfoot Beach and Saundersfoot Community Council. <br/><br/>Chris said that the organisers were overwhelmed with the response, with just over 2,500 registered to enter online, raising in excess of £11,000!<br/>Sponsors always play an integral part in the NYDS’ success and without their support, there would be no event. Gosh, how does it do that?'<br/><br/>The world No. 1 golfer would eventually tap his following putt in for par and didn't further damage his score.<br/><br/>He then went on to dominate the rest of the course - shooting five-under for the day to move to three-under for the tournament and vault into the top ten. <br/><br/>Scheffler would birdie the 13th hole and the 18th hole to move to even-par for the tournament.<br/><br/>After that, he birdied the first three holes of the front nine then parred his way out for a five-under 65 in the second round. <br/><br/>It comes a week to the day after his dramatic and shocking early morning arrest at the PGA Championship in Louisville, Kentucky.<br/><br/>After being booked for allegedly dragging a cop who hung on to his vehicle, Scheffler was charged with felony second-degree assault of a police officer, third-degree criminal mischief, reckless driving, and failure to obey signals from an officer directing traffic.<br/><br/>The felony charge could land Scheffler in prison for up to ten years.<br/><br/>There was speculation that the charges against the Masters champion would be dropped - or even reduced. <br/><br/>Instead, however, officials vowed to 'respect the legal process' and 'let it play out'.<br/><br/>The detective who arrested Scheffler, Bryan Gillis, was given 'corrective action' for his failure to activate his bodycam to record the situation.<br/><br/>'Detective Gillis should have turned on his body-worn camera, but did not,' Louisville police chief Jacquelyn Gwinn-Villaroel said at a press conference on Thursday. <br/><br/>Detective Gillis is facing further scrutiny with accusations that he once drove an 'intoxicated civilian' in his 'police vehicle' and did 'donuts' in a business parking lot.<br/><br/>At yesterday's first round, Scheffler struggled with the course - opening with two birdies and two bogeys on the front nine.<br/><br/>A triple bogey came on the 13th hole when his shot over a pond landed in the water and then his putt for double bogey rolled a foot past the hole.<br/><br/>He closed the day with a birdie on 17 to make his score two-over for the round.<br/><br/>After his arrest last week, Scheffler finished out the PGA Championship in a tie for eighth place after carding a 13-under for the tournament.")

With the Radical Over, a new lowrider was constructed, which will make the water drip from the corners of the mouth.<br/>The Radical Over was created within only twelve weeks and was built for the European Bike Week. It was supposed to be a bike that would not only cut a fine figure during the showdown around the lake, but also on the numerous passes in the surrounding area. The Sigle-Down- Tube Frame has been designed to achieve an extremely low seating position. You can’t get any lower than that, otherwise you’d have to sit with your ass cheeks in the curves. The steering head tilt is 40 degrees, the frame height is eight inches and the frame length is seven inches.<br/><br/>The fact that current show steppers have an Air Ride system with which they can be quickly lifted from an ultra-flat show look to a driving-friendly level is almost standard. As a rule, the rear end is raised or lowered. The fact that the steering head angle and thus also the castor can change sensitively as a result is usually accepted cheaply. Thunderbike, however, has solved this problem particularly tricky: the entire load can also be pumped up and down at the front. The shock absorbers of the Springer fork contain the necessary compressed air chambers. In this way, the entire bike can be perfectly adjusted at the push of a button. The gigantically large wheels should still look familiar to you from Thunderbike’s last stroke of genius: The round bikes from Thunderbike’s own production have already been mounted on the Open Mind and have been produced in 21 and 23 inch for this project. The star shape used here can also be found on several other components.
