After Misano, the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship continues its European tour at the legendary 3.3-kilometer Monaco circuit, which will host the 22 drivers who will compete in the 100% electric category on April 27.<br/><br/>DS Automobiles and its partner PENSKE AUTOSPORT will display a unique car for the eighth round of the 10th season (the seventh race to be held in Monaco): the DS E-TENSE FE23 'Grand Gala'. This special decoration pays tribute to the brilliant gala nights for which Monaco is famous.<br/><br/>DS PENSKE occupies fifth position in the team championship and is focused on its clear objective of returning to be among the leaders of the category. To achieve this goal, the team relies on the talent of Frenchman Jean-Eric Vergne - two-time Formula E champion and winner of the 2019 Monaco E-Prix -, as well as his Belgian teammate Stoffel Vandoorne - 2022 champion, who won the Monaco race that same year.<br/><br/>There is no doubt that the DS E-TENSE FE23 'Grand Gala' developed by DS Performance will be one of the main assets of this race, which remains one of the most important events of the season.

The Baja 1000 is a Mexican desert race which takes place annually in the Baja California Peninsula. Itâs the longest point to point off-road race in the world, that's run in a single day. Josh McGuckin, one of Tope's mechanics, explained how much of a challenge preparing for the race was for the team. He told Future Studios Cars: âDriving this car in the Baja 1000 can be summed up for me in one word, exhausting.â To an outsider the car would appear as just a âreally old buggâ but once inside, âsuddenly it just comes to lifeâ. Starting with the VW Beetle was a huge undertaking for the team, as they had to modify the classic 1970 car to be suitable for the incredibly harsh conditions. However, the extreme nature of this race did take its toll on the well-loved vehicle, âevery time you come back from a race, youâre constantly rebuilding and replacing everythingâ, Josh explained. The bugg may not be the fastest car, but itâs capable of doing the job for this team. And the teamwork paid off as Tope triumphantly reached the finish line. Josh spoke about his relief and elation, âevery time we race this car, we learn something new.\")
