Total cover credits: Cover by Mila Marukhina (vocal), Vladimir Ryabinin, Danil Miroshnichenko, Arkady Fedotov, and Ivan Fedotov (2023). <br/><br/>Along with Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Procol Harum, and other progressive rock bands from Britain in the late 60's/early 70's, there was THIS group that I began to follow with interest at that time. King Crimson became yet another unique band I would be sharing with friends along with the above-mentioned and others. However, once In The Court Of The Crimson King and In The Wake of Poseidon became fond memories as a different sound began to emerge from the band in 1973, I pretty much gave up on ever hearing the sort of work that were the hallmarks of those first two LPs.<br/><br/>Then came the big surprise in summer 1975 when I purchased their album Red. Released in 1974, it was not well-received at the time, but it nevertheless became one of my favorites, and my friends and I placed it as highly as King Crimson's first two albums. One song in particular captured my attention more than any other on the LP: \

This kind of orbit allowed it to stay above a fixed location as Earth rotates. One of the instruments on this spacecraft was a visible infrared spin-scan radiometer (VISSR), which provided high-quality cloudcover data 24 hours a day. It also carried a data collection and transmission system that allowed it to relay data from central weather facilities to smaller regional stations. Another device known as a space environmental monitor measured the charged particles in Earth’s radiation belts and the solar wind. The satellite was shaped like a cylinder and measured about 7.5 feet long, not including a 33-inch magnetometer that stuck out of one end. It launched from Cape Canaveral on a Delta rocket and remained operational for about 7 years. It was replaced by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s new GOES satellite, which was almost identical.")

_open-sky-unit-album-open-sky-unit-1974.webp "The only album released by short lived Belgian spiritual jazz-funk-soul rock group Open Sky Unit. The album is in fact a live album recorded at the Jazzland Club in Liège on October 04, 1974. Fine electric piano, good saxophones, beautiful electric bass solos, and nice and vivid drums playing by young talented lady Micheline Pelzer. The group was a family band: a father with his daughter, the daughter's husband and her uncle on bass.<br/><br/>Ron Wilson - Fender Rhodes piano, vocals.<br/>Jacques Pelzer - saxophones.<br/>Steve Houben - saxophone, flute.<br/>Janot Bouchem - bass.<br/>Michel Grailler - percussion.<br/>Micheline Pelzer - drums.<br/><br/>Open sky.<br/>At man.<br/>Valerie.<br/>Sunshine star.<br/>Pass on and compssion.<br/>Valerie (only melody).")
