Priced from $86,900, the new model is based on the regular Grenadier SUV, which the company calls the Station Wagon and has been on sale in America for several years starting at $71,500.<br/><br/>While much of the Quartermaster's design is the same as the standard model, it's now a pickup instead of an SUV. Interestingly, it has a wheelbase that is 305 mm (12 inches) longer than the Station Wagon. Three variants were announced; regular Quartermaster at $86,900, Trailmaster Edition at $94,900, and Fieldmaster Edition at $94,900; All prices exclude destination charges.<br/><br/>Several new components distinguish the Trailmaster Edition and Fieldmaster Edition from the base model. These include the front and rear differential locks on the Trailmaster, as well as the Smooth Pack with rear-view camera, front parking assist, heated side mirrors, heated windshield washer jets and auxiliary charging points.<br/><br/>Additionally, the Fieldmaster features smart speed assist, lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, and driver drowsiness detection, mirroring the features of the Trailmaster. It also has leather trim, a premium audio system, and heated front seats.<br/><br/>One of the reasons for the Grenadier Quartermaster's high cost is that it is produced alongside the Grenadier SUV at Ineos' factory in Hambach, France; this typically subjects it to a 25 percent U.S. tariff.<br/><br/>While the Grenadier Quartermaster is also available with a BMW-sourced 3.0-liter inline-six-cylinder diesel engine in other markets, the only option in the United States is BMW's 3.0-liter inline-six gasoline engine producing 282 hp and 332 lb-ft (450 lb-ft) . This engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission with manual overdrive function.<br/><br/>The Grenadier Quartermaster has no direct rivals in the U.S. The most off-road-focused pickups in the U.S. include models like the Ford F-150 Raptor and Chevrolet Colorado ZR2, but the Ineos is more expensive than both. Just like the Taycan Turbo GT, Four Rings is putting the finishing touches on a new flagship. It is called RS E-Tron GT Performance, reminiscent of gasoline models such as the RS6 and RS7 Performance versions.<br/><br/>Just as the current RS E-Tron GT won't be as intense as the Taycan Turbo S, it won't be as harsh as the Zuffenhausen model. However, there will be a power increase over the 637 hp and 612 lb-ft offered by the current range-topping. Audi is being coy about details (it's a teaser, after all) but is sharing images of a camouflaged car with ceramic brakes hiding behind aero wheels.<br/><br/>The revamped front and rear engines are unlikely to match the Taycan Turbo S's 938 horsepower, let alone the fierce Turbo GT's whopping 1,019 horsepower. We know that Audi engineers made changes not only to the powertrain but also to the battery pack for longer range. For reference, the new Taycan with Performance Battery Plus has a usable energy content of 98.6 kWh, while the base model has a net battery pack of 83.6 kWh.<br/><br/>Charging speed has also increased; This is no surprise considering the latest Taycan can now get 320 kW of power instead of 270 kW. Elsewhere, Audi has developed a new suspension system consisting of four individually active double-valve shock absorbers. This more responsive hardware will be adapted from the new Porsche Panamera. On the Audi, the suspension has been tuned for greater comfort compared to the sharper Taycan.<br/><br/>Audi plans to introduce the 2025 E-Tron GT later this year.
