_three-year-old-whose-tricycle-was-stolen-gets-surprised-with-mini-motorcycle-from-biker-dad-124-happily-tv.webp "A three-year-old boy, left devastated when his tricycle was stolen, could not hide his excitement when he was surprised with an electric motorcycle, allowing him to be just like his biker dad. Mavrick Salazar, from Friendswood, Texas, loves riding on his father Emit's motorcycle – and having been given a tricycle by his grandma for Christmas, the three-year-old was able to emulate his dad when riding outside his home. But in March of this year, Mavrick was left heartbroken when his beloved trickle was stolen, leading him to ask his parents where it had gone regularly. Over the weeks that followed, Mavrick had to make do with riding his sister's balance bike – all while his parents were planning a special surprise for the youngster. On April 10, Mavrick was encouraged to head outside his home, where his dad presented him with an electric version of a motorcycle. The three-year-old couldn't hide his joy, immediately heading to the bike, which his father then showed him how to use, given that he was not used to an electric throttle.")

The Baja 1000 is a Mexican desert race which takes place annually in the Baja California Peninsula. It’s the longest point to point off-road race in the world, that's run in a single day. Josh McGuckin, one of Tope's mechanics, explained how much of a challenge preparing for the race was for the team. He told FutureStudiosCars: “Driving this car in the Baja 1000 can be summed up for me in one word, exhausting.” To an outsider the car would appear as just a “really old bugg” but once inside, “suddenly it just comes to life”. Starting with the VW Beetle was a huge undertaking for the team, as they had to modify the classic 1970 car to be suitable for the incredibly harsh conditions. However, the extreme nature of this race did take its toll on the well-loved vehicle, “every time you come back from a race, you’re constantly rebuilding and replacing everything”, Josh explained. The bugg may not be the fastest car, but it’s capable of doing the job for this team. And the teamwork paid off as Tope triumphantly reached the finish line. Josh spoke about his relief and elation, “every time we race this car, we learn something new.\")
