Description: “The Farm” was a 198-acre former dairy farm in Sauk County, full of character: It was heated by three wood stoves and had no hot running water. But it did have all the outbuildings a child could wish to explore: from smokehouse to big machine shed, to corn crib, chicken coop and a huge dairy-cum-hay barn, complete with a “honey bucket” on a track to remove manure to a heap outdoors.
