Happy Gilmore sequel confirmed by Netflix with Adam Sandler to star. Almost 30 years after the release of the original film, Netflix has announced the return of Adam Sandler as Happy Gilmore. The film was confirmed to the public during the streaming service's upfront presentation on Wednesday. In honor of the big announcement, the PGA Tour also released a clip of Sandler doing his famous swing for what he says was the first time in 25 years. 2024 ACM Awards airing tonight at 8pm EDT.
