Description: On November 3, 2018, Elizabeth Turk’s Shoreline Project brought together 1,000 volunteer performers for a site-specific performance in Laguna Beach. The project was the commissioned work of art for Laguna Art Museum’s sixth annual Art & Nature, and took place at sunset on Main Beach. With LED-illuminated umbrellas designed as an evolution of the artist’s Seashell X-ray Mandala series, the 1,000 performers converged on the shoreline in both spontaneous and choreographed movement.
