ZSL (Zoological Society of London) – the conservation charity behind London Zoo and Whipsnade Zoo – is launching History Hive: a public appeal for memories and artefacts to bring its 200-year history to life. <br/>Launching exactly two years before the world-famous institution’s bicentenary, History Hive aims to build a collection of memories – from the tangible to the intangible – to reflect the varied voices and lived experiences of everyone who has played a part in ZSL’s rich history. <br/>ZSL is asking the public to submit everything from vintage zoo toys and historic tickets to correspondence and maps, enriching the charity’s understanding of its own history.

It hitched a ride to space on the space shuttle Discovery with mission STS-31. Also on board were astronauts Charles Bolden, Loren Shriver, Bruce McCandless, Steven Hawley and Kathryn Sullivan. The crew used a Canadian-built robotic arm to deploy Hubble from the shuttle's cargo bay while they were orbiting 332 nautical miles above the Earth. No one knew it at the time, but Hubble wouldn't be taking any pretty pictures anytime soon. When Hubble took its first photos almost a month after it was deployed, the pictures were out of focus because of a flaw in its mirror. Thankfully, the problem was fixable, and astronauts successfully repaired it in 1993.")

His lap time was the fastest-ever TCR lap recorded around the famous Island venue.<br/><br/>D’Alberto’s weekend was thrown on its head at the fourth corner of the first race when he was tagged awkwardly by Honda stablemate Brad Harris and Hyundai driver Josh Bucan. The incident sent Tony’s Honda FL5 off the track and into last place.<br/><br/>With the bit between his teeth, D'Alberto started a sensational recovery drive in the final two races on Sunday, finishing eighth in Race 2 and a fine fourth in Race 3.<br/><br/>D'Alberto says that the speed of his Honda is on point – he just needs a little luck to bring home more trophies.")
