Description: STOP was initiated as a project under Ramola Bhar Charitable Trust in the year 1998, as a direct fall out of the Global March against Child Labour, where the Managing Trustee, Ms. Roma Debabrata was a core Marcher. However, STOP's activities can be traced back to Hamida's case, a 10-year-old Bangladeshi girl, who was brought to India in 1992. She was brutally raped by the man who brought her here and by some of his friends who were in Delhi Police. She then spent four years in a children's home
