Description: Ester a female peregrine has been flying sharptail grouse for the last fourteen years with continued consistent success. On this flight she takes a good pitch, maybe 800-900 feet, while making into the covey, a single grouse gets up wide, and flys right back to the camera and Nate Birr who is filming. Ester begins her stoop, pumping on the way down to increase her speed and knock down force. She was at her cartwheeling weight 31.5 oz, and that means she is serious and determined to feed herself
