Guy Fieri will emcee the event on April 30th with John Mayer set to speak. This will be the 2,779th star placed on the walk of fame. Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch restored as biopic continues filming. Jackson lived at the Santa Barbara area ranch until 2003. His estate continued to have partial ownership of it until 2020 when it was sold for $22 million. The original estate featured various theme park attractions such as a ferris wheel and a carousel, all of which have been restored for filming. The film is set to be released in April 2025. Webby Awards honor Keke Palmer, Shannon Sharpe, Kara Swisher and Julia Louis-Dreyfus with Special Achievement Awards. Palmer receives the Webby Special Achievement Award for her work in both acting and activism. Louis-Dreyfus receives the Webby Podcast of the Year Award for her show Wiser Than Me. Swisher earns the Webby Lifetime Achievement Award for her long-standing journalism career, and Sharpe will be honored by the NAACP and IADAS as the Webby Advocate of the Year.
