Description: A 17-year-old Virginia rapper made a fatal mistake when he tragically shot himself dead while attempting to film a profane music video for social media last week.

Rylo Huncho was seen on a video posted to his Instagram story showing off a handgun, waving the barrel while displaying its built-in green laser sight and flashlight.

He then took control of the grip, appeared to shut off the safety, and pointed the gun to his head before pulling the trigger.

He immediately left the view of the camera as the phone fell to the floor in the wake of the blast.

Police in Suffolk, Virginia did not name Huncho but confirmed that a 17-year-old died of an 'accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound' to his head.

The teenager's full name is Raleigh Freeman III, according to The Direct.

He was reportedly taken to a local hospital, where he was eventually pronounced dead.

A family member has set up a GoFundMe in an attempt to raise $15,000 to ease the costs going forward.

'My aunt recently lost her 17-year-old son from a self-inflicted gun wound to the head,' Monica Savage and Diane Bryant wrote.

'He was her only son! She was a single parent but took care of her son the best she could.'

They added that they're still 'trying to figure out why' the boy did this.

A friend, who says the boy went by Railey, appeared to confirm his death on Facebook.

'And to get a text saying he passed away is heartbreaking and to hear the mean things y’all are saying about Railey is so wrong on every level please god give his mother the strength to deal with the devastating pain she’s in,' Twin Porter wrote.

The 17-year-old has 27,000 followers on Instagram as of Monday.

His bio states: 'Keep hating btch um on da rise.'

Huncho has about 680 monthly listeners on Spotify, with a profile photo showing Mia Goth's character from the film 'Pearl' hoisting an axe.

Some of his songs on the page include 'DOA,' 'La la la,' 'Hellcats SRTs,' 'Money Getta' and 'Bag Talk.'

Many of his lyrics feature sexual and often violent imagery.

In 'Money Getta' he raps: 'I feel just like I'm at home/I'm throwing bullets with no f***ing past.'

His Instagram and TikTok videos often contain many of his raps containing violent lyrics, as well as smoking marijuana.

On March 24, he posted a video to TikTok where he flagrantly displayed what appears to be the same gun he shot himself with.

Kara Dorsey, who claimed to be a teacher at Freeman's school, talked about what students and the boy's family had been going through.

'Just yesterday my school family experienced a loss. While I didn’t have the opportunity to meet this young man, I did meet his older cousin and a close friend today. I met them as they spent their lunch quietly walking the halls and asking staff members to share a gourde to help the young man’s mother lay her only child to rest,' she wrote.

According to a local funeral home, services are still pending for Freeman.
