This is the state final of a public speaking competition which is open to all NSW government primary schools, with over 1,000 students submitting speeches in 2020 despite the delays and changes necessitated by COVID-19. For the first time in the 25-year history of the competition this final was held online, with the ten speakers presenting both a 4 minute prepared speech on multicultural themes and a 2 minute impromptu speech on an unseen topic following just 5 minutes of preparation time.
