Description: On July 1, 2021, the Biden administration released the first set of interim final rules implementing the No Surprises Act. Included as part of the December 2020 Consolidated Appropriations Act, the No Surprises Act is intended to protect patients from surprise medical bills for emergency services, air ambulance services provided by out-of-network providers, and non-emergency services provided by out-of-network providers at in-network facilities. The new law takes effect on January 1, 2022.nnPYA
