Description: The words of songs often contradict the feelings evoked by the music – the rhythm, melody, and singing style. My favourite example of this is “Staying Alive” by the Bee Gees for the movie “Saturday Night Fever”. The disco rhythm and the falsetto vocals contrast strongly with the story of the song and the movie. A suburban young man struggling to live a meaningful life with dance as his escape.
