Description: The title originates from a Viking proverb 'Bundinn er bátlaus maðu', meaning 'Bound is a boatless man'. Likewise, a woman without a boat is a prisoner. nLátra-Björg was an 18th Century outcast fisherwoman who lived in an isolated northern fjord of Iceland and wrote poems believed to cast spells on those who crossed her. While it was common for Icelandic women to make a living from fishing, social norms dictated that they continue to dress in heavy skirts regardless of practicality. Látra-B
