Description: In the Montsec, south of the Pyrenees, August 13-14 2015, I aimed the lens to the northeast where thunderstorm flashes were detectable by eye. I was hoping for Perseids and red sprites. Only after uploading to Vimeo I noticed a few unexpectedly far sprites just above the horizon in the middle, apparently produced a thunderstorm closer to Switzerland. nnThe green airglow emissions in the mesosphere revealed gravity wave patterns radiating away from the convective updrafts in the thunderstorm over
