This is an explosion simulated in #Houdini made of 55 simulations. The comp in Nuke with the real footage has about 30 different render and comp layers, and each one with the cg environment has about 45. I used Arnold for Maya for rendering, Nuke for compositing and After Effects for color grading. The explosion was meant to be seen through the real footage camera angle and distance, but I wanted to use a basic but hopefully functional cg environment to explore different angles for the simulatio
