Description: An early anti-drug song, Kicks was one of the band's most popular hits, second only to Indian Reservation in 1971. While there were many bands extolling the pleasures and benefits of getting high on drugs, others like Paul Revere and Sonny Bono (of Sonny & Cher) were busy pushing a different a message: that drugs weren't cool, addiction wasn't cool, and that getting high could lead to extremely harmful consequences for some.
