Story of The First Girl I Loved is based on TRUE EVENTS that occured in one of the all-girls schools in Hong Kong. <br/><br/>The film tells the story of Lee Wing Nam (Hedwig) and Sylvia Lee Sum Yuet (Renci) and how their romance blossoms in a Catholic all-girls school in Hong Kong during their youth, only to see its certitude challenged as they slowly enter the realm of adulthood.<br/><br/>Years later, a cruel wedding brings the two together again when Sum Yuet asks Wing Nam to be her maid of honor. On the night before the wedding, Nam recalls their time together in school, when they shared a relationship that was more than friendship, but also perhaps not quite love. This lovingly nostalgic and bittersweet film offers a unique feminine twist on the well-worn youth romance formula.
