Springer was formed in 2006 by guitarist Eric Johnson. Johnson, (formally of 80's band Stryper, Trip Hammer, Black Eyed Rosie,) is joined by guitarist Kenny Ferguson (Puddle and 50/50) to create the Springer twin guitar attack. Jed Sever (Omniblank, Hate Machine) brings the silk to sandpaper vocal prowess recreating the original artists.
